It'd been a while since he'd gotten to hang out with Mateo, and he had exciting news to share with his good friend. He'd proposed to his long-time boyfriend around Christmas during a surprise dinner date, and Jack had accepted, something that made the teen grin everytime he thought about it. Yeah, he was only seventeen, but hell - Jack was everything he ever wanted or needed. He knew there wasn't anyone else for him, not now and not in the future, because Jack was his soul mate. There was no other describing the contented calm that overtook him whenever he saw the other shifter, the way the other male could make him chill out or rev him up higher with just the simplest of touches or words.
He shook the thoughts away when he saw his friend on the beach, squealing and bouncing forward to tackle the other boy into the sand gleefully. "Mateoooo! Oh my god, it's been forever since I've seen you, how're you?" He giggled, his arms still wrapped around his friend as he grinned - happier and bouncier than he normally was, but that was to be expected, after all. "You won't believe the news I have for you, guessss!" He wiggled a little, overly excited to share the news of his engagment - it was still hard for him to even believe Jack had said yes, after what had happened before, but his fiance had slowly been showing him that it hadn't been his fault.

Because of the rain, it had been a bit chilly out today along the beach, the clouds blocking the sun's usually harsh and humid rays. Today was gorgeous out, though, regardless of the shade, and the angel couldn't think of a better way to spend it than hanging out at the beach drawing. He'd been here for hours already, sketchbook in hand, bringing to life the scenes he saw in front of him. A mother holding the hands of her two daughters, a father and a son fishing off the pier, a dog chasing the seagulls. He'd made all of these scenes, and more, come to life on his paper - scene after scene carefully crafted. But now, he was taking a break. He'd just gotten a text from his long time friend, Xavier, about meeting up here, at the beach, and that had him too excited to continue drawing. The angel grinned, barely having enough time to fix his hair, before finding himself suddenly tackled into the sand.
He squealed in mock protest, flailing, before wrapping his arms around Xav in a warm hug, placing a friendly kiss on the younger boy's cheek. "Mateoooo! Oh my god, it's been forever since I've seen you, how're you?" He giggled, bopping Xav lightly on the nose with his fingertips before pushing himself off the sand and shaking his head like a dog trying to free itself of water. "I am fabulous, as always! And how are you, my little bouncy friend?" He had a feeling Xav had something big to tell him because he was even bouncier than usual. What could it be? Something with Jack? A new dog? Both? "You won't believe the news I have for you, guessss!" Mateo whined pitifully, pouting as he sat cross legged in the sand, looking out from behind his hair like a little kid. "Awh, no fair, I don't like guessing games!"

He grinned, pulling his jacket tighter around himself against the slight chill in the air - he really didn't mind it, since compared to other places it wasn't all that cold, but it was still annoying and his mom still nagged so he wore his jacket. It was a beautiful day even with the chill, and plenty of people were out along the beach - he paused for a moment to watch the little kids running around, the ever-watchful mothers and the sunbathing fathers, and found himself excited anew because one day that'd be him and Jack, married and with kids.
He giggled, wrapping his arms around Mateo and playfully nipping at the fingers that bopped his nose, growling like he was going to bite them but making sure he never actually caught skin because that would be mean, and he didn't want to be mean to Mateo 'cause Mateo was awesome! "I'm doing amazing, Mattie!" He giggled, flopping down in the sand across from his friend and mimicking the cross-legged position, his hands planted in the sand to hold him up. "I'll tell you then!" He nearly bounced where he sat, settling for wiggling instead in his excitement. "I asked Jack to marry me! and he said yes!" He threw his hand out to show Mateo the engagement ring, squealing happily.
